Beluga Design 43 — Hand-Tufted Wool & Viscose Area Rug in Ivory Gold

Luminous. Artisanal. Built to catch the light.

The Beluga Design 43 works a soft gold through a warm ivory ground, and the 60% wool, 40% viscose blend is what makes it glow. Viscose carries a natural sheen that shifts as you move around the room, while the wool brings the resilience and softness underfoot. Hand-tufted by skilled artisans in India and finished with a cotton backing for stability on most floors.

Available in three generous sizes, so it can anchor a full living room seating group, a dining table, or a primary bedroom.

Why You'll Love It

  • Artisan hand-tufted — individually crafted, so no two pieces are exactly alike
  • 60% wool, 40% viscose — wool's resilience paired with viscose's silk-like sheen
  • Ivory gold colorway — warm and light-catching alongside neutrals, wood, and brass
  • Three sizes — 8' x 11', 9' x 12', and 10' x 13'
  • Cotton backing — adds stability and grip on most flooring
  • From the Beluga Collection — a curated line of artisanal statement rugs

Care & Cleaning

This rug contains viscose, which is beautiful but moisture-sensitive. A little extra care keeps the sheen intact.

  • Vacuum regularly using suction only. Avoid a beater bar or rotating brush, which can pull the wool and viscose fibers.
  • Expect light shedding for the first few months. This is normal for hand-tufted rugs and eases with regular vacuuming.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry white cloth. Work from the outside in and never rub, since rubbing distorts viscose pile.
  • Keep moisture to a minimum. Water can leave permanent marks or yellowing on viscose, so use as little liquid as possible and dry the area quickly.
  • For spot cleaning, use a barely damp cloth with a small amount of mild detergent. Test in an inconspicuous area first, blot gently, and allow to air dry fully.
  • Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, steam cleaning, and any wet extraction or shampooing.
  • Best placed in low to medium traffic areas, and not recommended for kitchens, entryways, bathrooms, or under dining chairs where spills are likely.
  • Rotate the rug every 6 to 12 months for even wear, and limit prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading.
  • Use a quality rug pad to reduce slipping and cushion the pile. (Optional Only)
  • For deep cleaning or stubborn stains, use a professional rug cleaner experienced with wool and viscose blends. Do not attempt a DIY deep clean.

Hand-made, one piece at a time. Slight variation is part of the character.
