Beluga Design 78 — Round Hand-Tufted Wool Area Rug

Soft. Sculptural. Quietly striking.

The Beluga Design 78 comes in a calm ivory and green colorway that softens a room instead of shouting at it. Hand-tufted by skilled artisans in India from 100% pure wool, it has the plush depth and dimensional texture that only real hand-tufted construction delivers, finished with a cotton backing for stability underfoot.

At a generous 10' round, it's a natural fit under a circular dining table, in a reading nook, or at the center of an entryway where a rectangle would feel stiff.

Why You'll Love It

  • Artisan hand-tufted — individually crafted, so no two pieces are exactly alike
  • 100% pure wool — naturally resilient, soft underfoot, and built to last
  • Ivory and green colorway — warm and versatile across modern, transitional, and organic interiors
  • Generous 10' round — softens hard corners and anchors open floor plans
  • Cotton backing — adds stability and grip on most flooring
  • From the Beluga Collection — a curated line of artisanal statement rugs

Care & Cleaning

  • Vacuum regularly using suction only. Avoid a beater bar or rotating brush, which can pull the wool fibers.
  • Expect light shedding for the first few months. This is normal for hand-tufted wool and eases with regular vacuuming.
  • Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry white cloth. Work from the outside in and do not rub.
  • For spot cleaning, use a small amount of mild detergent mixed with cool water. Test in an inconspicuous area first, blot gently, and allow to air dry.
  • Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals, steam cleaning, and soaking the rug with water.
  • Rotate the rug every 6 to 12 months for even wear, and limit prolonged direct sunlight to prevent fading.
  • Use a quality rug pad to reduce slipping and cushion the pile. (Optional Only)
  • For deep cleaning or stubborn stains, use a professional rug cleaner experienced with hand-tufted wool.

Hand-made, one piece at a time. Slight variation is part of the character.
